Taoiseach Enda Kenny is travelling to France today where he will meet President Hollande to discuss a number of key issues including the migrants crisis and climate change.
During the two-day trip to Paris and Lyon, the Taoiseach will also witness the signing of a number of new contracts between Irish companies and their French partners.
There are currently 60 Irish companies with a presence in France, employing over 10,000 people, with total trade between France and Ireland worth just over €15bn each year.
