60 jobs to be created at Laois rail depot

Sixty jobs are set to be created at a new Iarnród Éireann train-care depot in Co Laois.

Sixty jobs are set to be created at a new Iarnród Éireann train-care depot in Co Laois.

Forty-five of the jobs will come on line when the facility opens in Portlaoise in March.

Iarnród Éireann says the workforce will be increased to 60 as the depot expands.

The depot will be used for maintenance of the company's new inter-city fleet.
