Cash seized in Dublin Airport

Customs officers at Dublin Airport yesterday seized €40,000 in cash.

As part of an intelligence-led operation, officers searched the 29 and 30-year-olds, who are both from the North, before they boarded a flight to Malaga in Spain.

The money was hidden in their carry-on baggage.

In court, officers were given three months to detain the money and carry out further investigations.
