The Fianna Fail party have successfully launched their Nice campaign today.

As promised, a 'General Election' style is being used.

The newly appointed campaign director and Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen spoke about public concerns over the current economic situation and the its relationship to the referendum.

In addition, party leader and Taoiseach Bertie Ahern insisted Ireland will retain a strong position in the EU with a yes vote.

Mr Ahern is adamant Ireland has secured equal rights within the EU to nominate a member of the commission.
