Limerick gardaí appeal for witnesses to alleged gang rape

Gardaí in Limerick are appealing for witnesses to an alleged serious sexual assault which took place in Co Limerick earlier in the week, to come forward.

Gardaí in Limerick are appealing for witnesses to an alleged serious sexual assault which took place in Co Limerick earlier in the week, to come forward.

It is being alleged that a woman in her 40s was gang-raped.

The attack took place in an apartment in Downing's Cross , Kilmallock, at about 7.30pm last Monday.

A gang of four youths allegedly broke into the woman's flat. Three are thought to have raped her while the fourth held back and tried to get them to stop.

The woman was treated for her injuries at hospitals in Limerick and Cork.
