Hundreds of shoppers were evacuated from Ikea this evening.

The north Dublin-based Swedish furniture store asked customers to abandon their items and leave the store.

The incident was reportedly down to a "technical issue" and declared a "false alarm".

It is not known what the technical issue was and the store re-opened shortly afterwards.
