Gardaí in Athlone have arrested a man in connection with a pipe bomb attack on two head shops in the town in March.

Gardaí in Athlone have arrested a man in connection with a pipe bomb attack on two head shops in the town in March.

The man - who is in his early 30s and said to be from the Midlands - was arrested this morning.

He is being detained at Athlone Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
