Gardaí in the Dublin suburb of Cabra are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body in a house on the Navan Road this morning.

Gardaí in the Dublin suburb of Cabra are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body in a house on the Navan Road this morning.

The woman, who is believed to be in her 80s, was found shortly before noon today. Neighbours raised the alarm after she had not been seen for several days.

Gardaí discovered damage to the rear door of the house and have sealed off the area.

The State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy and a team from the Garda Technical Bureau have been called to the scene.
