Meath Gardaí arrest five in €700k cannabis seizure

Cannabis with an estimated street value of almost €700,000 has been seized in Co. Meath.

Cannabis with an estimated street value of almost €700,000 has been seized in Co. Meath.

It follows an intelligence operation by the Garda National Drugs Unit, and with members from the Meath Drug and Detective Units.

Searches were carried out at a farm and warehouses in Bective, where nearly 2,000 cannabis plants were recovered.

Five people, ranging in age from being in their forties to being in their sixties, have been arrested.

They are being held at Kells and Navan garda stations.
