Women hurt in hit-and-run accident

A woman pedestrian is in a critical condition after a hit and run incident in Dublin, gardaí said today.

A woman pedestrian is in a critical condition after a hit and run incident in Dublin, gardaí said today.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after two women were injured in an incident at around 1am at the junction of Blackglen Road and Woodside Road in Dublin’s Stepaside.

Detectives said a large dark car, possibly a Mercedes, collided with the two pedestrians.

Both women are in hospital, where one is in a critical condition.

Gardaí said the car failed to remain at the scene and they are anxious to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
