New Limerick hurling boss Dave Keane has tied down influential trio Joe Quaid, Steve McDonagh and Ciaran Carey to another 12 months at least.
Despite rumours guaranteeing their return doubts still remained about them staying on, but Keane convinced them to commit to another term.
Limerick selector Johnny Meskell is keen to have a large squad because of the amount of dual players and said: "Matters could get complicated because we have several dual players."
Forwards Brian Begley and Conor Fitzgerald, midfielder Stephen Lucey and centre-back Brian Geary have all played football for the county.
