A man is undergoing surgery after being assaulted in Dublin's Tyrellstown.

Man stabbed in Dublin

A man is undergoing surgery after being assaulted in Dublin's Tyrellstown.

It is understood he received a number of stab wounds in a house in the village this evening at around 5pm.

He managed to get to local shops where he collapsed.

He was rushed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown for treatment to puncture wounds.

No arrests have yet been made.
