Meath road accident leaves one dead

A man in his mid-20s has died following a road accident in Co Meath.

A man in his mid-20s has died following a road accident in Co Meath.

He was struck by a car on the Trim-Dublin road near Batterston village at about 4am this morning.

The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.

Gardai at Dunboyne are appealing for witnesses.
