Investigations are continuing following the death of a man in Tallaght in Dublin yesterday evening.

Forty-four-year-old Karl Holmes, from Tallaght, was attacked and beaten during a row in Avonbeg Gardens at around 5.30pm.

He was seriously injured and later died in hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the incident room at Tallaght Garda Station on 01-666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
