There are calls for a more visible Garda presence in the Shankill, Dublin following reports of assaults and attempted assaults in the area.

There are calls for a more visible Garda presence in the Shankill, Dublin following reports of assaults and attempted assaults in the area.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a woman was assaulted on Quinn's Road on Tuesday night.

It is understood the woman had been followed as she walked home at around 8.30pm.

She did not suffer any injuries in the incident, however Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

Two other attempted assaults were reported at Shankill Garda Station and Shanganagh Park.
