Climbers rescued after Wicklow accident

Two climbers have been rescued after an accident in Glenmalure in the Wicklow mountains.

Two climbers have been rescued after an accident in Glenmalure in the Wicklow mountains.

One man fell and hurt his leg while attempting to climb in the frozen gullies of Fraughan Rock Glen.

His friend went for help and the two were brought to safety by the Glen of Imaal and Dublin-Wicklow rescue teams.

The injured man has been transferred to hospital.
