IMPACT warns of action against Aer Lingus sale

The largest union at Aer Lingus, IMPACT, has warned of further industrial action if the company is sold off to another airline in a so-called trade sale.

The largest union at Aer Lingus, IMPACT, has warned of further industrial action if the company is sold off to another airline in a so-called trade sale.

Unions and management at Aer Lingus are to meet Public Enterprise and Trade Minister, Mary O'Rourke, this afternoon in Dublin.

They will be discussing a range of options including a flotation of the company and a trade sale.

Ahead of the meeting, Michael Landers of IMPACT said his members were against the trade sale option.
