Munster scored their second successive Celtic League win tonight when they beat Ebbw Vale 48-23 at Musgrave Park, Cork.

The Irish side ran in four first-half tries from Mossie Lawlor, John O’Neill, Mike Mullins and Alan Quinlan to set-up the victory and leave the visitors trailing 27-9 at half-time.

Another Mullins try a minute after the restart kept Vale on the back foot although they were given some hope when awarded a 50th minute penalty try.

Munster captain Jim Williams put a stop to that though with a try of his own eight minutes later and Jason Holland finished the Welsh off with a try at the death.
