Man dies in collision in Co Tipperary

A man has died after the car he was driving collided head-on with an articulated truck in Co Tipperary this morning.

A man has died after the car he was driving collided head-on with an articulated truck in Co Tipperary this morning.

The accident happened outside Toomevara, on the road to Nenagh, at around 9.30am.

The truck driver was not injured but is said to be suffering from shock. The latest fatality brings the death toll on Tipperary's roads so far this year to 16, the same figure as for the entire of 2002.
