Irish veteran star Peter O'Toole will receive the 8th Oscar nomination of his career tonight for Best actor.

Irish veteran star Peter O'Toole will receive the 8th Oscar nomination of his career tonight for Best actor.

The 74-year-old is in the running for his performance in Venus.

Forrest Whittaker is favourite to take the prize however, after his performance as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland.
