Hundreds attend funeral of Maire Buckley in Dublin

Up to 500 mourners are attending the funeral today of the woman killed when her car was struck by a stolen bus on the Naas Road last Sunday.

The funeral of 62-year-old Maire Buckley is taking place at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Sean McDermott St in Dublin's north inner city.

The former teacher, who was from Donnycarney, worked as a community liaison teacher in nearby Rutland Street National School.

Children from Rutland Street, Marlborough Street and the Central Model primary schools are among the hundreds attending today's funeral.
