Soccer: Henry hails Gunners' teamwork

Thierry Henry believes teamwork will put Arsenal back in contention for a quarter-final spot in the Champions League.

Thierry Henry believes teamwork will put Arsenal back in contention for a quarter-final spot in the Champions League.

Henry scored the only goal for the Gunners in their 1-0 win in Lyon.

And the victory, their third in the second phase, lifts them to second in Group C and on course for the last eight.

Henry's 60th-minute headed winner was his 16th goal of the season.

But he was quick to praise the efforts of his team-mates.

He said: "From David Seaman in goal to the last man in attack, it was a great performance by us.

"It was fantastic to get the goal. I'm over my ankle injury now and I'm much more confident when I know I'm fully fit.

"But you can only win matches like these when the whole team is on form, and that's what happened with us."

The Gunners now face Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup followed by Lyon again and a trip to Manchester United.

Henry added: "Now we face a really incredible few weeks with big games all the time, but if we can keep playing this way, and have luck with injuries, we will come out doing very well."
