A protestor from a group representing unmarried and separated fathers scaled a crane in Dublin this afternoon.

The group had gathered on O’Connell Street Bridge to highlight the plight of single parents left alone at Christmas.

There were fears among onlookers that the man would jump. Organisers belonging to the demonstration say they’re very concerned about him.

The group is calling for a reform of family law procedures.
