Dissident Ulster Unionist MP Jeffrey Donaldson has responded to the IRA's New Year statement by warning that his party will withdraw from the Executive if there is no movement on the issue soon.

Mr Donaldson accused the IRA of reneging on its commitments and added that the UUP may begin reviewing its policy on power-sharing, as decided at the party's last ruling council meeting.

However, Sinn Fein's Gerry Kelly replied that it was up to Tony Blair to stand up to the "militants" in the British Army if the process was to move forward.
