The Ulster Unionist Party's officer board is meeting to pick names for a new disciplinary committee.
The committee is being formed to decide what action to take against the three anti-Agreement MPs who are defying the party leader, David Trimble.
A list of 18 or so names has been drawn up from which four or five must be chosen.
This panel will have to undertake the difficult business of deciding what if any disciplinary measures should be taken against the three dissident MPs, Jeffrey Donaldson, Martin Smyth and David Burnside.
Today's meeting is also likely to discuss police action against the party's chief executive, Alastair Patterson, who's been questioned over the last two days about possible electoral fraud in the West Tyrone and Mid Ulster constituencies.
There are behind-the-scenes attempts to patch up the differences between the two sides, but no significant movement forward has been reported.
