Gardai in Co Clare have arrested three South Africans following the seizure of 54 kilos of herbal cannabis at Shannon Airport today.

Gardai in Co Clare have arrested three South Africans following the seizure of 54 kilos of herbal cannabis at Shannon Airport today.

Customs officers allegedly discovered the drugs in the luggage of the two men and one woman, who had travelled from Johannesburg via London.

Gardai said the cannabis had an estimated street value of €150,000.
