Man dies in Clare crash

A 23-year-old man was killed in a car crash early today.

A 23-year-old man was killed in a car crash early today.

The incident took place at Dough, Lahinch, Co Clare at 1.30am.

Gardaí said they believe the man was the driver of the car and he was pronounced dead at Ennis General Hospital.

No other vehicles were involved.

A garda spokesman said: “Two women and one man in their twenties who were passengers in the car were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“The road is closed in the area for technical examination by forensic collision investigators.”
