Men to be charged in Dublin drug seizure

Two men will appear before Dublin District Court this morning in connection with a drugs seizure on the M50 in Dublin.

Two men will appear before Dublin District Court this morning in connection with a drugs seizure on the M50 in Dublin.

The discovery was made when officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped a car at the toll plaza shortly before 9 O'clock on Thursday night.

They found 5 kilos of heroin, with an estimated value of €1m.

Three men were arrested, and two of them, aged 27 and 29, will be brought before the courts and charged under drug trafficking legislation later today.
