The likelihood of a stadium being built on the site of the old Maze Prison in the North has moved a step closer.

The likelihood of a stadium being built on the site of the old Maze Prison in the North has moved a step closer.

The GAA, the Irish Football Association and Ulster Rugby have all agreed to play games at the facility if it is built.

The three organisations have signed a document estimating the minimum number of supporters they expect to attract annually.

The plan is for a 35,000-seater stadium for soccer and rugby, and the provision of more seats for GAA fans.
