Man arrested in Galway death probe

A man has been arrested in Galway in connection with the discovery of a woman’s dead body in a house in Craughwell, near Loughrea in Co Galway this morning.

A man has been arrested in Galway in connection with the discovery of a woman’s dead body in a house in Craughwell, near Loughrea in Co Galway this morning.

The man is being detained at Gort garda station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí said the body was that of a woman in her 30s.

The Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis attended the scene this afternoon, which was preserved for technical examination.
