Cork cocaine haul: Four remanded

Four men on charges related to the biggest cocaine seizure in the history of the State have been remanded in custody until August 28 for direction from the Director of Public Prosecutions as to what charges will be preferred against them.

Four men on charges related to the biggest cocaine seizure in the history of the State have been remanded in custody until August 28 for direction from the Director of Public Prosecutions as to what charges will be preferred against them.

The four appeared at Cloverhill District Court this morning amid tight security. They are: Joe Daly - Bexley, Kent, England; Martin Wanden, no fixed abode, England; Perry Wharrie, Essex, England; Garard Hagan, Liverpool, England.

Judge Patrick Brady granted the application by the State and all four men will appear at Cloverhill again on August 28.
