A man has been arrested after €70,000 worth of cocaine was seized at Dublin Airport.

A man has been arrested after €70,000 worth of cocaine was seized at Dublin Airport.

A kilo of the drug was found when officers searched the baggage of a 48-year-old Latvian national, who had arrived on a flight from London having previously travelled from Buenos Aires in Argentina.

The cocaine was glued in the side wall of a brief case.

The man appeared before Dublin District today. He has been remanded in custody to appear in Cloverhill Court on Friday.
