Health Minister: Waste must stop

Minister for Health James Reilly has said any waste of money and inefficient use of resources within the health service has to stop.

Minister for Health James Reilly has said any waste of money and inefficient use of resources within the health service has to stop.

Mr Reilly yesterday accepted the resignations of 11 of the 12 members of the HSE board as part of his programme of reform.

Speaking at the official opening of the Mallow Primary Health Care Centre in Co Cork, he said a new interim board would start the process of making the health service deliver better value for money.
