Minister pledges co-operation with Lansdowne residents

The Minister for Sport and Tourism, John O’Donoghue, has said he will co-operate fully with those living close to Lansdowne Road in order to ensure each side is happy before developing the National Stadium.

The Minister for Sport and Tourism, John O’Donoghue, has said he will co-operate fully with those living close to Lansdowne Road in order to ensure each side is happy before developing the National Stadium.

Residents are due to meet this evening to discuss the planned €300m development, but they have expressed concern that the stadium will cause noise pollution as well as disruption.

The Minister has said that the residents have nothing to fear from the plans, as their views will be taken into account by the developers.
