Taxi drivers seek €1 fuel surcharge on all fares

Taxi drivers are reportedly seeking to add €1 to every fare in order to cover the rising cost of petrol and diesel.

Taxi drivers are reportedly seeking to add €1 to every fare in order to cover the rising cost of petrol and diesel.

Reports this morning say the National Taxi Drivers Union is planning to meet other taxi unions next week to discuss putting forward an application for the special fuel surcharge.

The NTDU says fuel prices have risen 13% since January.
