Second death on roads overnight
A 28-year-old man died early today following a two car collision in Co Cavan.
The crash occurred on the Cavan Virginia road at about 3.20am. This is the second recent fatality on the roads.
At 8.30pm yesterday an elderly man was killed when he was hit by at least one car in Co Longford.
The incident occurred in Knock-Loughlin in very foggy conditions.
