The North's First and Deputy First Ministers are due to hold more talks with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown today over funding for the transfer of policing powers to Stormont.
Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness are believed to be seeking up to £600m (€661m) to cover the cost of the long-delayed move.
Talks with Mr Brown last week ended without a package being agreed, but progress is believed to have been made.
Meanwhile, Mr Robinson and Mr McGuinness are also due to travel to New York this evening for an economic summit being organised by former US President Bill Clinton's Global Initiative.
