Three men who were being questioned by gardaí in Co Offaly in connection with a weapons seizure have been released.

Four men in all were arrested after gardaí found slash hooks, hammers and hatchets hidden in various locations around Tullamore town.

It followed a tip-off received about a planned confrontation at a funeral, involving feuding clans of the travelling community.
