Food and drink exports have increased by 13% since the beginning of the year.

New figures, published this morning by Bord Bia, show that exports in the food and drink industry for that period rose by €400m, and are now worth almost €3.5bn.

Bord Bia said the prospects for the rest of the year remained positive because of global demand for dairy and meat and increased consumer food prices.
