Jackson jurors to resume deliberations

Michael Jackson’s fans haven’t given up on the pop star.

Dozens of Jackson’s fans rallied outside his Neverland ranch in California yesterday, decorating an outside fence with paper hearts and banners proclaiming their support. “All of us here and millions around the world love and support you,” said one of the banners.

Jurors were scheduled to begin their seventh day of deliberations today since receiving his child molestation case on June 3. They have deliberated for more than 28 hours in discussions over six days.

Jackson, 46, is charged with molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor in 2003, giving him alcohol and conspiring to hold the boy and his family against their will to get them to rebut a damaging television documentary about the pop star.

As jurors resume deliberations, the singer may be without a media representative. A disagreement broke out on Friday over whether Jackson’s spokeswoman over the last several months, Raymone Bain, had been fired.

A statement on the Jackson website www.mjjsource.com attributed to MJJ Productions said Bain and her firm were terminated. “We thank you for your services,” the statement said.

But Bain said on Friday that she worked directly for Jackson and that only he, and not MJJ Productions, can fire her.
