The Minister for Health has said she will meet with management from Barrington's Hospital in Limerick later today.

Mary Harney said she will discuss the establishment of an independent review of all breast cancer cases at the private facility.

This follows concerns raised in a report commissioned by the Health Information and Quality Authority about the management and care of 10 patients.

All breast disease services at the facility were suspended after this.

Last week Mary Harney ordered a review of all breast cancer cases at the Limerick hospital as far back as 2003.

The meeting, between the Minister for Health and representatives from the hospital, will take place in Dublin this evening.
