Man dies while working on rail line
A young man has been killed in an accident on the Sligo to Dublin rail line, just north of Longford.
The man died after a tree fell on him at around midday.
He was an employee of Iarnrod Eireann and was engaged in tree-felling work as part of an operation to clear the line for improvement works.
Train services between Sligo and Dublin have been disrupted.
