Young woman seriously hurt in Kinsale attack
Gardaí in the seaside town of Kinsale in Co Cork have appealed for information in connection with a serious assault yesterday, after which a woman was treated in hospital.
The assault took place at about 10.30pm on Compass Quay in Kinsale.
The 18-year-old woman was seriously injured in the assault. She was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses who may have been in the area of Compass Quay between 9.30pm and 10.30pm to contact Kinsale garda station on 021 4772302, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
