Young boy dies in bus accident

A 10-year-old boy has died after his pushbike was in collision with a bus in the Cabra area of Dublin.

A 10-year-old boy has died after his pushbike was in collision with a bus in the Cabra area of Dublin.

The accident happened at around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon on Faussagh Road, when the boy was in collision with the number 120 bus heading into the city centre.

He was rushed to Temple Street Children's Hospital, but died at around 7pm.

The driver of the bus is understood to be severely shaken by the incident.

Gardaí and Dublin Bus have both launched separate investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
