A school in County Wicklow has described the death of one of its students as "devastating".
Laura Dempsey, 15, was on holiday with her parents in Crete when she drowned in a swimming pool on Sunday.
Laura had just finished her Junior Cert exams at Temple Carrig School in Greystones.
The teenager was discovered dead in the resort village Stalida on the Greek island on Sunday afternoon, local media says.
She was reportedly found by her parents. Paramedics called to the scene were unable to resuscitate her.
Her body was removed to a local hospital for a post mortem examination.
