The worst of the cold snap is over it seems.

After temperatures plummeted to as low as minus 6 degrees in some areas last night, Met Eireann says conditions should begin to improve from tomorrow.

Icy stretches are still being reported on roads though - so motorists are being advised to drive with extreme care.
