Up to 150 people, who are calling for the charges to be scrapped, assembled at Montrose outside RTE, under heavy Garda presence.
Anti-water charge campaigners, who marched on the dual carriageway towards Montrose, have accused RTE of bias against their movement recently.
A statement was read by the partner of one of the five water protesters jailed for breaching a court order.
Meanwhile, another march, in support of the water protesters jailed last month for breaking a court injunction is underway from O’Connell Street to Mountjoy Prison.
