UCD to close until Tuesday

University College Dublin (UCD) has decided to close its campuses at Belfield and Blackrock on Monday due to the weather.

University College Dublin (UCD) has decided to close its campuses at Belfield and Blackrock until Tuesday due to the weather.

For health and safety reasons, there will be no access to vehicles to the colleges in Belfied at 2pm while Blackrock will close at 5pm.

Staff have been asked not to enter the campus except for essential work.

While student residences will remain open, students are asked to delay their return until Tuesday if possible and to check the UCD website for updates.

Exams are also falling foul of the bad weather.

NUI Maynooth has confirmed that due to the expected severe weather tomorrow, it is postponing exams scheduled for Monday.

They will instead take place on Friday the January 22.
