Two women and a man have been arrested following the seizure of a number of firearms and drugs in Tallaght, Dublin yesterday.

Two women and a man have been arrested following the seizure of a number of firearms and drugs in Tallaght, Dublin yesterday.

During the search gardaí recovered five firearms and a large quantity of ammunition.

Cannabis and ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of up to €250,000 were also seized.

A 24-year-old man is being held in Rathfarnham Garda Station, while a 33-year-old woman will appear before Tallaght District Court later this month in relation to the seizure.

A 32-year-old woman, who was held at Terenure Garda Station, was released last night and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
