Two men are being quizzed at Coolock Garda Station this morning after firearms were seized in north Dublin yesterday.

Two men are being quizzed at Coolock Garda Station this morning after firearms were seized in north Dublin yesterday.

In an intelligence-led operation, a car was stopped and searched on Clonshaugh Avenue in Coolock.

During the search, Gardaí seized two firearms and arrested the driver.

Nearby, a van was stopped on Clonshaugh Road and the second man was arrested.

The two men, aged 39 and 44, can be held for questioning for up to three days.
